Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:<\/p><p>In the area of Bookkeeping, you will:<\/p><ul><li>Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.<\/li><li>Record daily transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.<\/li><li>Manage general ledger entries.<\/li><li>Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.<\/li><\/ul><p>In the area of Financial Reporting and Analysis, you will:<\/p><ul><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.<\/li><li>Reconcile bank statements and track deposits and payments.<\/li><li>Participate in financial audits.<\/li><li>Assist with budget preparation.<\/li><li>Review and implement financial policies.<\/li><\/ul><p>For Cash Flow Management, your tasks will involve:<\/p><ul><li>Monitoring cash flow statements.<\/li><li>Ensuring compliance with tax and financial reporting standards.<\/li><li>Regarding Governance and Compliance, you will:<\/li><li>Ensure compliance with Charity Accounting Standards (CAS).<\/li><li>Submit timely reports to authorities.<\/li><li>Review and recommend improvements to internal control policies and procedures.<\/li><\/ul><p>Your role also includes engaging with stakeholders:<\/p><ul><li>Collaborate with Board Directors, Finance Committee, Audit Committee, Auditing Firms, financial institutions, corporate donors, vendors, and government agencies.<\/li><li>Support the Board and CEO in corporate secretariat and board management matters.<\/li><\/ul><p>Lastly, you\u2019ll contribute to building a high-quality workplace and fostering a positive work culture for the organization. You may also be required to work on other assigned projects as directed by the Board and Management.<\/p><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><u>Technical Competencies<\/u><\/p><ul><li>Diploma or Associate Degree in Accounting or its equivalent professional qualifications<\/li><li>Competent with accounting software modules like QuickBooks<\/li><li>Good understanding of basic accounting principles<\/li><li>General experience &amp; knowledge in IT applications<\/li><\/ul><p><u>Core Competencies<\/u><\/p><ul><li>Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry, reconciliations and other accounting tasks<\/li><li>Organised, self-driven and able to multi-task well under pressure<\/li><li>Collaborative, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills<\/li><\/ul><p><u>Preferred Achievements \/ Characteristics<\/u><\/p><ul><li>At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in an accounting role, preferably in the social services sector<\/li><li>Familiar with Singapore Charity Accounting Standards &amp;
